Students really should be getting 4/4 every time on AQA English Paper 1, Question 1 and Paper 2, Question 1.
And yet many fail to get these four easy marks in the bag because they are failing to implement a few easy techniques.
Here is how to ensure 4/4 EVERY time:
- Highlight the focus of the question (ALWAYS take a 2-3 highlighter pens into the exams!)
- Never answer Question 1 on either paper from memory. Cross-reference and CHECK!
- Highlight the section of the text you’ve been asked to consider (Paper 1.)
- Start each answer by mentioning the question focus (Paper 1.)
- Write in sentences rather than fragments (Paper 1.)
- Use the exact wording from the text (Paper 1.)
- Write four sentences over four lines, but consider putting more than 4 things down as a safety net

I am running an Easter Holiday Masterclass course to help students nail every single question on AQA GCSE English, Paper 1 & 2.

Good luck this summer!
