Happy New Year and welcome to 2024! I hope you all managed to have a little rest and relaxation to recharge your batteries.

Resolutions for the New Year?

I’m not usually one for New Year’s resolutions, but on New Year’s Eve someone did ask me what I hoped 2024 would bring. I’ve left teaching to focus on tutoring, and I have loved the freedom it has given me to build the AQA English GCSE 12 week programme in the way that I want to, doing the things that I’m most interested in, and creating something that I believe wholeheartedly will be very effective for students who want to succeed.

What are the entry requirements for this course?

The AQA English GCSE Programme is immersive, so it requires a modicum of independence; the ability to be self-motivated and a degree of maturity in order for students to be successful. It also requires students to have a target grade of at least a Grade 4 in English.

What does the course offer?

For students who are able to bring these qualities to the table, the AQA English GCSE Programme has a huge amount to offer:

1-2-1 bespoke feedback & support
Live Zoom lessons
A full GCSE course of downloadable revision materials
A members only portal for the entire GCSE course
An  on-call tutor marking work quickly and forensically
So if your child is in Year 10 or 11 and studying AQA English; would benefit from something more than an hour a week with a tutor; needs at least a Grade 4 to pursue their next steps, and seeks a tutor with a huge amount of experience and a proven track record, do get in touch to find out more: claire@theenglishlab.co.uk

And coming back to my 2024 ambition: I hope to take a cohort of motivated students through the AQA programme and get them on track to achieve their target grade in English.
